How to Squeeze in Workouts During the Holidays
As the craziness of the holidays takes over our schedules, it’s harder to find time to fit in workouts. I’ve found that if I identify small blocks of time for workouts, I can usually fit in a quick workout. I aim to work out for 20 minutes. That’s it. Sometimes 20 minutes seems impossible, so I set my timer for 10 minutes and walk or run the stairs. Any kind of activity is beneficial - it doesn’t have to be an intense, hour-long class at the gym!
If you are like me and are short on time this holiday season, try this at-home, bodyweight 20-minute workout. It’s an “As Many Rounds As Possible” (AMRAP) workout. Do the circuit as many times as you can in a 20-minute timeframe. It’s that easy! Plus, you don’t need any equipment or a lot of space!
10 Reverse Lunges with Kick (10 per leg)
10 Standing Side Bends (with or without weights)
10 Frog Jumps
10 Single Leg Bridges (10 per leg)
10 Tricep Push-ups
10 Bird Dogs (per side)
10 Side Plank Dips (per side)
10 Jumping Jacks
3 Walkouts
Complete circuit as many times as possible (AMRAP) in 20 minutes!
